UPDATE: My Story: PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome ) and Fertility
If you read my article on my personal story about PCOS and fertility you might want an update, am I right? Here it is! 🥳️🥳️🥳️
After the Methotrexate shot, I waited patiently to use MIRA. I can tell you I read the instructions over and over again, making sure I was going to use it correctly.
I started using it to track my LH levels and my cycle on April 1st, 2020 and on July 17, 2020 the MIRA app was telling me to take a pregnancy test because I missed my period so I did. I didn’t think anything of it since I have been using it for such a short time.
I can tell you the “pregnant” popped up so fast, I didn’t have the chance to put the test on a flat surface! 😱
I couldn't believe it! I yelled for my husband and showed him the test and started crying (ugly cry). My husband was so confused. He told me, I thought that this was what you wanted, I thought that you really wanted another baby. In between sobs, I told him, yes this is what I really wanted, for 6 long years! But I can’t believe we did it!
I called my OB/GYN to let her know and she prescribed me progesterone and told me to start taking it ASAP. If you remember from my other article, my body doesn't produce enough to keep the baby. She said since we found out early this baby will have a higher chance to grow because she was able to prescribe progesterone.
I had an ultrasound the next Monday and it was still too early to see the baby or hear the heartbeat so I had to go back 3 days later. They found the baby and a strong heartbeat!!
I am now, 28 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I know I know I waited a long time to give you girls an update (I am sorry ) but I wanted to be sure this was going to be a happy story!
There are 2 different scenarios if I didn’t use MIRA:
- I wouldn't have baby danced on the correct time or
- I wouldn’t have tested this early because my period is not regular and I wouldn’t know my cycle.
Without MIRA I would, most probably, not be pregnant at all or go through another heartbreaking miscarriage.
I LOVE MIRA and will tell everyone that has fertility issues and even people that just want a reliable cycle tracker (to promote or prevent pregnancy) all about it! (I think my friends and family are starting to get a bit annoyed by it 😅🤣)

Now let's talk about the pros and cons of this product:
Pros:
- Super easy to use;
- Super clean;
- No need to read and record the results, the app will do it for you; - This is especially important if you have hormone imbalances since other tests will give false results and even with the ones that are supposed to give you a LH amount number, reading the correct result is extremely hard;
- You can add other information, like basal temperature and cervical mucus;
- You can also add other information about your cycle and intercourse;
- Laboratory-grade testing;
- App works great and even if you forget about the test you can still recover the results;
- The app notifies you when you need to test and informs you when you should be getting your period and if you should be testing for pregnancy;
- Awesome customer service;
- Offers and discounts available;
Cons:
- The app doesn’t have a “report pregnancy” function, I would have loved it if the app would turn into a pregnancy app after getting pregnant or even if it would just shut the cycle and test information while pregnant.
This would definitely make the app perfect but it wouldn't change my mind on buying this product. There are millions of pregnancy apps out there and I just ended up by using one of those.
In my opinion, MIRA is the best product out there to track your hormones and cycle both to help and avoid getting pregnant, specially if you suffer with hormone imbalances.
