5 Easter Handprint Crafts

  1.  Handprint Chick

You will need:

  • Yellow and orange paint
  • White craft paper
  • Yellow craft paper
  • Orange craft paper
  • Black pen
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Baby Wipes, for mess control and cleanup

Instructions:

  1. Coat your kiddos' hands with a layer of yellow paint and make a handprint of each hand on white paper.
  2. Next coat your kiddo’s feet with a layer of orange paint and make a footprint of each foot on white paper.
  3. Cut a large oval out of the yellow paper for the chick’s body or you can draw a line and have your kiddo cut it out.
  4. Cut two smaller ovals for the eyes and draw circles on them with the pen.
  5. Cut a triangle for the beak and a wavy shape for the top of the chick’s head.
  6. Assemble the chick by gluing the eyes, beak, and top to the chick.
  7. Cut around the handprints and footprints. If your children’s feet are bigger you can cut off the bottom part of their footprint to be better proportioned to the chick.
  8. Glue the handprints to the side of the chick for the wings and glue the footprints to the bottom of the chick for its feet.
  9. Hang it up to enjoy!

  1. Egg Carton Bunny

You will need:

  • Egg Carton
  • Acrylic Paint: pink, yellow and baby blue
  • Scissors
  • Googly Eyes
  • Pink Pom Poms
  • White Foam
  • Masking Tape
  • Glue
  • Black Marker

Instructions:

1.  Cut 2 egg compartments and trim off any excess to create a flat top to the cartons.

2. Place the trimmed egg cartons on top of each other with the flat tops touching. Take a piece of masking tape and put a small piece on the back of the cartons. Then open up the egg carton and place another piece of masking tape on the inside.

3.   Paint the egg cartons a spring color.

4. Cut 2 bunny ear shapes out of the foam.

5. Once the paint has dried, add the eyes and pink pom pom for the nose with glue.

6. Glue on the ears as well. Take a thick black marker and add whiskers and eyelashes if desired.

7. Now fill with candy and enjoy! These would be cute to put up for your Easter Egg hunt or as decoration on a table for Easter dinner!

  1. Easter Handprint Cards

You will need:

Easter Chick

– Yellow and Orange Cardstock

– Small Googly Eyes

Easter Bunny

– White and Pink Cardstock

– Small Pink Pom Pom

– Small Googly Eyes

– Black Sharpie

– Extra strong glue

Sheep

– Black Cardstock

– Cotton Balls

– Small Googly Eyes

– Twine

Instructions:

Easter Chick:

1. First fold over a piece of yellow cardstock. Trace the handprint so that the pinky is on the folded part of the paper and then cut out the handprint.

2. Add googly eyes and a small beak from orange construction paper. To make the beak: fold over a small piece of orange cardstock or construction paper and then cut a triangle out.

3. Cut out two feet for the chick from orange construction paper or cardstock and glue to the inside of the front part of the card.

4. Write “Happy Easter” inside the card or another special Easter message.

Easter Bunny

1. Fold white cardstock over and put the left hand against the folded part (so the folded part is on the left). Put your middle finger and index finger up like a piece sign. Trace around those fingers making it a bit more bubbly so it will look like bunny ears, then trace around the side of the hand making a circle for the face.

2. Cut it out so that the bunny face is round like a circle. Leave a bit on the left side for the folded part so the card will open up.

3. Add two small pink cardstock inserts for the ears. Then glue on the googly eyes and pom pom nose.

4. Draw the whiskers and mouth on with a black sharpie.

Sheep

1. Fold a piece of black cardstock over. Trace the hand so that the wrist is at the folded part.

2. Draw a sheep head and cut it out and glue it to the thumb. Make the head rounded with two ears coming down to the sides.

3. Glue on googly eyes to the head.

4. Add cotton balls to the sheep body.

5. Finally, add a small bow made from twine just under the body by the head.

  1. Bunny Handprint Card

You will need:

– White cardstock

– Small white pom poms

– Pink pipe cleaner

– Pink pom pom

– Googly Eyes

– Pink paint

– Craft glue

Instructions:

1. First fold your cardstock over to trace the hand.

2. Spread your pinky and ring finger together and your middle and index finger together to form the two “ears” of the bunny. Then cut it out so you have a card like this:

3. Paint the inside of the ears pink and let it dry.

4. Start adding your pom poms by gluing to your card. Fill the space as much as possible. When you are done there will still be some gaps. You can continue to add extra pom poms into those gaps to really fill the whole bunny.

5.  Cut two pieces of pipe cleaner and twist them together to form the whiskers. Then glue to your card. Glue your pink pom pom on top.

6. Glue your googly eyes on.

Your Easter Bunny is done!

  1. Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft

You will need:

-Construction Paper

-Pom Poms

-Pipe Cleaners

-Googly Eyes

–Small Paper Plates

-Glue

Instructions:

For the nose:

  1. Take 3 pipe cleaners and twist them around each other in the center so that they are connected/stuck together. The part you twist is the hidden part that will go under the nose (pom pom) and will be hidden. This will leave you with the whiskers sticking out on both sides.
  1. Then glue to the paper plate. Leave time to let dry as this step will require it to be glued well or the pipe cleaners will fall off.

Tip: You can also glue with hot glue (which will stay better) but make sure adults do this part and then let the kids glue the pom pom on once the hot glue has dried and cooled.

  1. Once glue is dry from the pipe cleaners, now glue on your nose (pom pom).

For the ears:

  1. Cut out some ears from white construction paper and then cut out a smaller inside ear with a different color.

For the eyes:

  1.  You can use googly eyes and just glued them on or you could also use construction paper and make the eyes yourself.

For the mouth:

  1. You can just draw on the mouth with a black marker.

That’s it! We hope you have fun making this simple and easy Easter Bunny craft for kids!
